I know that this is not directly relevant to Costa Rica real estate but I wanted to talk about it anyway as I certainly wish the Costa Rican Government would help out people in Costa Rica in such a manner.

I was just reading this story on MSNBC MONEY about$1 Billion in New Help to Flailing Homeowners where some 30,000 homeowners in need have until July 22 for a prescreening of interest free government loans from the government which could in turn become a gift.

Sure, its not in Costa Rica and I am no economist but that in turn should help the housing market in the US by bringing a bit more confidence about the housing market in the US which will slowly trickle down to the real estate industry in Costa Rica.
